Humus is the dark, nutrient rich and organic part of the soil. The part that makes the soil fertile. This digital place should provide fertile ground for thoughts and impulses around many aspects of the natural world.

Perhaps here you will find new inspiration to go out and experience the natural world, intensify your connection with it, or see it and your place in it from a different perspective.

A group of mushrooms growing close to each other. These mushrooms grew out of a logged tree trunk in the forest, which they feed upon and will eventually help degrade.

Moss is beautiful, not only to the eye but also to the touch, and can be found almost everywhere. As small as it is it isn't just a plant but a small forest, home to many other living beings. In case you're wondering, those little protruding things are called sporophytes.
